A relationship of mutual respect allows both sides to grow

Many companies are embracing digital transformation (DX), aiming to improve business efficiency through the use of cloud computing and reduce costs by going paperless, for example.
Naoto Tazumi is a managerial track employee responsible for planning measures with sales partners to support customers' DX initiatives.
Marina Kamiya is an administrative staff member with extensive responsibilities ranging from accounting work to managing contracts and dealing with audits. The two of them work with each other to help companies implement DX projects.

What does the work of administrative staff entail from
the perspective of managerial track employees?

Taking the initiative to support those around you earns people's trust

TAZUMI : My job is to work with group companies to support the digitalization of major companies. We help companies improve their business efficiency by migrating to the cloud or going paperless. I ask Kamiya-san to take care of accounting in general and she reliably meets tight deadlines every month, which is very helpful.

KAMIYA : I manage to do that because Tazumi-san quickly shares information with me.

TAZUMI : Most accounting procedures are done at the end or beginning of the month. The person in charge needs to be highly motivated to get the work done quickly without any mistakes by the deadline. Kamiya-san doesn't just fulfil the role she's been given; she's actively supportive to help those around her. Her approach to work is really fantastic.

What does the work of managerial track employees entail from
the perspective of administrative staff?

There are no barriers between career track employees and administrative staff-they create business together

KAMIYA : When I first assumed responsibility for accounting, I didn't understand what the account items meant. Then, Tazumi-san, who has accounting experience, organized an accounting and tax workshop for myself and the young managerial track employees.

TAZUMI : I moved to sales from accounting through the in-house recruitment system. I thought the workshop would help everyone as we're involved in projects with group companies and so the work is difficult, sometimes requiring consolidated accounting.

KAMIYA : Even at meetings, Tazumi-san follows and summarizes what we have to say. The great thing about Tazumi-san is that he shows consideration for everyone regardless of seniority. I find it rewarding to be able to create business with more senior members who I can respect. Every day is stimulating.
