Forward-thinking and good relationships with people make everything easier
OTA : On the sale and purchase of a new ship, which is worth billions of yen, a ceremony is held when the overseas owner takes delivery of the ship from the shipyard.Murakami-san is in charge of managing the movement of guests and arranging gifts to coincide with the ship owner's arrival in Japan and her efficiency is really helpful.
MURAKAMI : Administrative staff work with managerial track employees as partners. I think we're working towards the same goal and build relationships that allow us to rely on each other.
OTA : I learned from Murakami-san that it's extremely important to be observant and notice what someone needs or what's missing and to adopt a forward-thinking approach when working. She also has good relationships with those she deals with both inside and outside the company and is a reassuring presence I can confidently delegate work to.
Getting from zero to one and getting from one to ten -that's the difficulty for managerial track employees
MURAKAMI : I think that the work of managerial track employees involves the creativity to get from zero to one and the drive to get from one to ten. Meanwhile, administrative staff support managerial track employees so that they can concentrate on their work and their mission is to provide support from the wings so that ten becomes an even bigger number.
OTA : The situation varies depending on department or responsibilities but in the trade operations I'm currently involved in, the role of managerial track employees is always to increase sales.But this, too, will only happen with the support of the administrative staff.
MURAKAMI : Ota-san is trusted as a safe pair of hands by senior and junior staff, his managers and our customers. He always acts with integrity and always considers those around him.Respect for him extends beyond respect at work to respect for him as an individual.
